My memories of watching magical girl shows and crafting my elementary school art projects will always stay with me, and I will forever appreciate and embrace their influence on my work. I feel like this is my weakest.

My first time animating! I thought it turned out pretty cute. I wanted to do something more story based, but in the end I wanted to really show an understanding of motion.

Odds are I wont get in, but I really had fun with it. Something unique about me is actually a flaw. I tend to let judgement cloud my vision, but also am hyper aware of other people judging me.

This is about the concept of lucid dreaming. In lucid dreaming you control what identity you take and which environment you are in inside your dream. I always enjoy watching my identities with different environments as they change throughout the long, unpredictable dream. They tend to either have a spooky end or an end that is easy to forget. I made this piece to express self-love and acceptance. I always strive to be optimistic and accepting of the things that society expects me to feel ashamed of, such as body weight and appearance.

I take my insecurities and glorify them because they are a part of who I am as a person. I absolutely love marine life. Everything about marine life fascinates me, from the coral communities to the depths of the ocean floor. The ocean inspires everything, from my creature designs to worldbuilding ideas. Recently, I volunteered at the Aquarium of the Pacific, and I have never felt so connected to the community before.

Being a part of the Aquarium has really revived my passion of knowledge for the animals of the ocean, and I created this piece as a representation of the community of people that all love the ocean! As I said in my last post, good luck everybody! Trust me, they will not let you in or they will kick you out if they find out that your pieces are not your own. Prompt A: The prompt for A last year was to make an image that tells a story without the use of words. So, for this piece, I was working on a storyline that I have since stopped working on, but I made this image to sort of represent the climax of that story.

Prompt B: This prompt is the same this year, which is to make an image about something that interests you. For me, it was biology. Specifically zoology. Here, I created a character who is a zoologist and is working to discover and study unique creatures in the wilderness. For the written explanation of this piece, I discussed about how the incredible zoological findings and studies of creatures across the globe inspires my approach to character design and writing stories for those characters.

Prompt C: This is the technical skill prompt. Now, figure drawing is super important in animation, so I simply put four of my best figure drawings at the time into one image and submitted that.

The last prompt is the animation reel, but I will probably put that in a separate post that supports the video format :. Best of luck to anyone applying, and if anyone has any further questions, please let me know and shoot a message my way!

Hmu if you are too!!! Also ngl I never use tumblr and my messages hardly work so you can hmu on instagram too! They have struck out and found the writers that speak to their own inner life and experiences. CSSSA is one of the most free, creative environments a young artists can experience. Core is a foundational writing workshop that meets four mornings each week.

Students will spend one week with each member of the faculty. Faculty members will teach their specialty, offering an introductory class in prose fiction, poetry, memoir, or dramatic writing.

By the end of the month, every student will have had a class in every genre. Electives meet four afternoons each week. These workshops provide students with an opportunity to go deep in a particular genre or approach to writing: poetry, drama, fiction, and non-fiction. Students will choose their elective during the departmental orientation.

Published writers, editors, agents, and select panels are invited to CSSSA for workshops, discussions, and presentations. CSSSA Writers have the opportunity to participate in lively discussions and learn creative strategies from nationally recognized writers.

On Saturday mornings the Writing department gathers to hear students to share work created during the prior week. Faculty members describe the writing exercises, their purposes, and the problems and discoveries made by the writers. Every week students will work together on group projects. These might include creating a play, writing group poems, or working together to tell stories from their lives. Every week during Writer's Desk students will have the opportunity to drop in for office hours with the Writing faculty.

This can be a time to go over student work, discuss future projects, and find strategies to deal with the CSSSA workload.
